Individuals

Ordering direct from our site is a great way to support our work. Website orders are processed weekly from our office in Brooklyn, usually on Thursdays. We cannot currently ship direct orders outside the US, so please see below on ways to get our books wherever you are. We do not offer discounts so as not to compete with the independent booksellers that stock our books on their shelves—we hope you’ll understand. There are also other ways to get our books:

  • Order from Asterism Books, a fast-growing distributor created by small presses for small presses, with a great list of poetry and translation titles. Asterism will have better foreign shipping rates than we could offer, so try them if you’re ordering from abroad.

  • If you’re outside the US, you can also ask your local bookseller to place an order with one of our distributors. Asterism can ship to foreign shops at good rates. If you’re in the UK or EU, your local store can order our books from Turnaround.

  • If your bookstore tells you they can’t get on of our books, please point them to this page and let them know they can order direct from us.

  • You can buy our titles from many online sellers, but please avoid the big guys (you know who) as we will only see a tiny fraction of the sale.

Bookstores

The best way to order our books is through our distributors: Asterism in the US, or Turnaround in the UK. See their details in the Distributors section of this page.

A few special-edition chapbooks in our catalog (without ISBNs) are not distributed, but can be ordered from us directly at a 45% discount (no returns) or 40% discount if you prefer the option of returning unsold copies.

Libraries & Institutions

You can order our books from a variety of sources, but please consider ordering directly from our distributors. Sign up for a Library Account with Asterism Books and take 20% off our titles and anything else in their catalog. Asterism can set up a standing order as well.

If you’d like to create a standing order directly through us, email editors [at] worldpoetrybooks.com, or simply purchase the Library Subscription through our website. We’re happy to supply purchase orders or invoices for library subscriptions.

Bookstore Events

Bookstores can order from our distributors or from World Poetry directly by emailing editors [at] worldpoetrybooks.com with quantity, address, and date of event. For direct event-related orders, we can offer a 50% no-returns discount, or a 40% discount if you need to return unsold copies.

Other Events

If you’re organizing an event with our authors or translators at a college or independent cultural space and would like to sell copies, you might partner up with a local bookstore and give them the information above, or write to us and we’ll come up with an arrangement: editors [at] worldpoetrybooks.com.
