Submissions

World Poetry accepts proposals annually throughout the month of June. Please download the proposal guidelines and read them carefully before querying us.

Please keep in mind: World Poetry publishes only new English-language translations of poetic works written in a language other than English. We do not publish fiction or nonfiction. At this time, self-translated works or submissions from authors will not be considered. The proposal must be submitted by a translator. If you are an agent, please see the guidelines linked above before you query us. We encourage proposals for works-in-progress and simultaneous submissions are permitted. We accept proposals only from June 1 to June 30. We aim to respond within three to four months. Proposals submitted outside the reading period may not receive a response.
